The common, native, wild rose found at mid elevations (4500-9000 ft.) in Utahs mountains and valleys. Its branches are covered with a dense layer of fine thorns and can grow to 6 feet tall. Develops attractive two inch pink blossoms. Spreads vigorously from root suckers and forms thick hedges beneficial to birds and small mammals. Does best under moderate irrigation or on moist, well- drained soil types.
