A thicket-forming, multi-stemmed shrub also called sandbar willow. It will reproduce by suckering and thus is excellent for watershed protection and stabilization. Leaves are long, very narrow and greyish-green in coloration. Must be planted near regular water source. Not drought tolerant. Will adapt to many soils. This native species typically dominates low elevation water courses throughout the state.
