Also called Canyon Maple, this native tree is easily recognized in the early fall by its grand color display of yellow, orange and red leaves. Very adaptable to dry, rocky soils in canyon bottoms, draws, and on hillsides. Generally found between 4500 feet and 7500 feet elevations. Can gain heights to 35 feet.
