A slow growing, long lived, high elevation conifer native to the Rocky Mountains above 7500 foot elevations. It can be established at lower elevations to 4500 feet. Attains a 30 foot height and 15 foot spread. Tolerant of rocky, poor, well drained soils and alkalinity. This variety is considered to be separate from our Great Basin species.
