A large, relatively fast growing pine with 3 to 7 inch needles. Austrian pine is an introduced tree which is extremely adaptable. It can thrive in almost any soil or climate in Utah. Austrian pine reaches a height of 50-60 feet and does not lose its lower branches at maturity. Its branches are strong and resist winds and heavy snows.
